Updated 2026 NFL Draft order entering Monday Night Football in Week 5

Tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars will bring a close to Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season. And after five weeks, some teams have not had the starts they expected or were hoping for.

Up to seven sides have only registered one win to date in five games this season, while the New York Jets remain the only team in the league to still have a zero in the W column.

For some of these teams, being in the running for the number one overall pick in the 2026 Draft at this early stage of the year could come as some sort of silver lining if things don’t turn around soon on the field.

The Jets hold the worst record in the league with no wins to their name, putting them in the current box seat to grab that first pick. A tough trip to London is next on their schedule where they will face a Denver Broncos outfit full of confidence, after Sean Payton’s squad secured a huge victory over the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cleveland Browns have just wrapped up their own trip across the pond where they lost to the Vikings, leaving them with a 1-4 record and the current rights to the second pick in the draft.

Surprisingly, the Baltimore Ravens have also only started 1-4 and would pick third in the draft as of now, despite being viewed by many as Super Bowl contenders at the start of the year. With Lamar Jackson out injured, the Ravens were blown out by the Houston Texans and they will be hoping Lamar comes back sooner than later before their playoff hopes completely slip away.

A 27-24 loss at the hands of Carolina places even more pressure on Mike McDaniel’s hot seat, and the prospect of his Miami Dolphins side having the fourth overall pick probably doesn’t relieve any of the heat McDaniel is feeling.

The New Orleans Saints picked up their first win of the season, and their first victory with Kellen Moore as head coach, by defeating the New York Giants however they still would be selecting at pick number five if the draft were to be held today.

In addition, the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans and the Giants also share a 1-4 record, despite finding themselves picking outside the top five as things currently stand.

Of course, the NFL is unpredictable by nature, and you can never quite tell which sides will turn up and which teams underperform week to week. So perhaps the only thing that you can safely predict is to expect the draft order to change before we reach Week 18.
