Stat Shows How Packers WRs Have Improved This Season

The Green Bay Packers were a Super Bowl favorite for many heading into the 2025 NFL season, but they did have some question marks on the roster.

One of the most pressing questions was about the wide receiver room, as they had a lot of solid players, but didn’t necessarily have an alpha WR1.

Romeo Doubs has been Jordan Love’s primary target, at least at the wide receiver position, but Love has been spreading the wealth to multiple pass-catchers.

They’ve all done well with their opportunities, not dropping the ball, which was a major problem last season.

As writer Felipe Reis Aceti noted on X, the Packers’ wide receivers have recorded three drops through their first four games, a marked achievement given that they had three drops in Week 1 of the 2024 campaign.

While spreading the ball around doesn’t work for every team, it’s working for the Packers thus far, as Love has trust in his receivers.

It’s easy to establish and maintain trust when his guys are holding onto the football.

Ball security is massive in this league, and with it, the Packers’ pass-catchers can keep their opponents guessing with this spread-out approach.

Fans are itching to see first-round pick Matthew Golden have his breakout game, as he has played well to this point, but hasn’t had an amazing game in the box score to show for it.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter who is catching the ball when a team is winning, and the Packers look like they’re in for a lot more wins this season, which should keep the momentum and energy up.
