The Green Bay Packers went into their Week 5 Bye Week looking like one of the best teams in all of football in the early portion of the 2025 season. And fortunately, it looks like their already dynamic offense is set to get a major boost in the form of a dynamic wide receiver returning to practice for the organization on Monday.
Thus far, the Packers have had plethora of wide receivers make a significant impact in 2025. Whether it be Romeo Doubs, 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden, or Dontayvion Wicks, there has been no shortage of production at the position.
What makes the production at the wide receiver position from Green Bay so impressive is the fact that at least on paper, they are still short-handed at the position considering both Christian Watson and Jayden Reed have missed either the entirety or the vast majority of the season due to injury.
But on Monday, the Packers received a crucial update on Christian Watson, who returned to the practice field for the first time since his torn ACL injury last season, according to ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky.
As Demovsky alluded to in his post, Watson will now have a three-week practice window to officially be taken off the PUP list. So assuming all goes will with his return to practice, Watson should be returning sometime in that three week window.
Watson has shown to be an incredibly productive player for the Packers, particularly playing a crucial role as the best deep threat for the team throughout the majority of his three-year tenure in Green Bay.
If Watson looks anything like he has throughout his career in his return from his significant injury last year, his return to play should certainly add to a Packers offense that has looked great through the first five weeks of the season. Though at this point, it is still entirely unclear as to when the most realistic return date for Watson truly is.
