A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid has early this week been tipped for what would be a surprise move to England, with Manchester City.
The player in question? Nahuel Molina.
Right-back Molina was for his part heavily linked with a departure from Spain’s capital over the summer.
This came after Italian heavyweights Juventus expressed a keen interest in the services of the Argentine.
In the end, Molina stayed put, but he has since found game-time altogether hard to come by in Diego Simeone’s squad.
And this situation could yet culminate in a transfer finally coming to fruition for Molina in the January transfer window.
That’s according to **[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/atletico-madrid/20251006/1002545749/guardiola-cree-recuperar-jugador-atletico.html)**, citing English outlet TeamTalk, who have revealed interest on the part of Manchester City in the former Udinese man.
Pep Guardiola, it is claimed, is a long-term admirer of Molina’s talents.
On the lookout for reinforcements at right-back with a view to the 2nd half of the season, the Etihad brass could in turn sanction a cut-price swoop for the World Cup winner this winter.
