“He got his drink spiked,” fans rush to Mark Sanchez defense after video leaked following…

NFL and college football fans around the country were shocked to hear news over the weekend that former New York Jets quarterback and current FOX Sports football analyst Mark Sanchez had been stabbed in Indianapolis. Shortly after that news broke, many took to social media praising the USC product for his high character and wished him a speedy recovery.

Later though, it was revealed that Sanchez was the one who provoked the attack. According to reports, an intoxicated Sanchez viciously attacked a man and tried to force him to move his delivery truck. When the driver would not move, Sanchez allegedly beat him and tried to move the truck himself.

Per the reports, when Sanchez slammed the man against a wall, the man defended himself by stabbing Sanchez in the chest three times.

Both men were taken to the hospital.

Mark Sanchez has fans claiming he was drugged prior to the attack

Since the incident, Sanchez was released from the hospital but was promptly transported to jail. He was placed under arrest while still in the hospital and faces multiple charges, including a felony that could result in jail time.

On Monday morning, the New York Post released some video footage of Sanchez staggering down the sidewalk after the stabbing took place, and some fans believe the film proves that something else is to blame:

Another X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, “How do you not show alley video ? Mark had to either been drugged or on some booger sugar. Who the f— does Wind spints? I mean to fight with a senior citizen crazy . Just a bad look all around for Mark.”

As one can see, some fans do not think that Sanchez is entirely to blame for the incident. One blames CTE while other claim that his drink must have spiked with something.

In any case, Sanchez is going to have his day in court and will have to answer, one way or another, for what happened.
