Robert Saleh was the head coach of the New York Jets from the 2021-2024 NFL season. He was fired during the middle of the 2024 season and Jeff Ulbrich took over as the interim head coach.

Ever since the Jets fired him, there defense has never been the same since. This is the kind of defensive mind Saleh is. He is doing well with the San Francisco 49ers as the defensive coordinator this season. New York once again is not doing well this season, and they are off to an 0-5 start. Aaron Glenn is the head coach of the Jets. The defense has not been good, and he was the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions the last few seasons.
Robert Saleh’s Brother David Saleh Calls Out the New York Jets Organization
East Rutherford, NJ — August 10, 2024 — Jets head coach Robert Saleh in the first half as the Washington Commanders came to MetLife Stadium to play the New York Jets in the first preseason game of the 2024 season.
David Saleh does not post often on his Twitter page. He is the brother of Robert Saleh. David has been seeing what has been going on with the Jets ever since they fired his brother Robert. David said on his Twitter page on Monday,
“Last year the#Jets were 2-3 playing for first place in their division when
declared that “the best roster in franchise history needed a spark.” Since then the#Jets defense has gone from first to worst donning a record of 3-14.#allgasnobrake #AGNB #VictoryMonday #thespark“
It is not shocking that he is frustrated with what is transpiring with the Jets. There is a reason why New York has not made the playoffs since the 2010 season. Owner Woody Johnson can’t get out of his own way with impulsive decisions.
The Jets looked like they had a buttoned up culture with Saleh as the head coach. Since he has left, they are not competitive on the defensive side of the football. It is no accident that the Jets defense has fallen apart since Robert’s firing and David has every right to be upset about it.
