Everton produced a rousing second-half comeback to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
David Moyes was not a happy man at half-time as Palace claimed a 1-0 lead heading into the break.
Daniel Munoz’s goal handed Palace the lead, and Moyes responded by making two half-time substitutions.
Everton rallied after the break and equalised through Iliman Ndiaye’s penalty, before Jack Grealish scored the winner with his first Toffees goal.

Adam Wharton on Everton atmosphere
Moyes wanted Grealish to take up better positions inside the box, and you can certainly say that he was in the right place at the right time.
Munoz’s clearance cannoned off Grealish and into the back of the net, handing Everton all three points.
Everton fans went wild as Grealish celebrated his first goal for the club, even if it came in rather fortuitous fashion.
After the game, Grealish was praised by Adam Wharton for stepping up his performance levels since joining Everton.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Wharton has also praised the atmosphere at Hill Dickinson Stadium, believing that Toffees fans make a huge impact.
Wharton believes that Everton have ‘top players’, but it’s the impact of the supporters which makes things ‘very difficult’.
The Palace midfielder believes Everton fans gave Moyes’ side the momentum in the second half and turned the game into a real ‘battle’.
“Obviously, we know Everton are a top team,” said Wharton. “They’ve got some top players, and when they’re at home, if they get the crowd behind them, they’re very difficult to play against.
“I thought the first 60-70 minutes we played very well, dominated the game. We had a lot of chances to put the game to bed, but we didn’t. And then I think we sort of brought it upon ourselves. A few sloppy mistakes on the ball… maybe we thought we were comfortable.
“They sort of gained momentum, the crowd got behind them, and then it’s always a difficult battle against them,” he added.
Adam Wharton and Jack Grealish face similar battle
Grealish and Wharton were very complimentary of each other after both players caught the eye during Sunday’s game.
Both players have been snubbed by Thomas Tuchel, though, and have been left out of the England squad for this international break.
Grealish and Wharton would love to be on the plane for the World Cup next summer, but they are now running out of time.
There are just two international windows to go after this one, and it’s a big ask for Grealish and Wharton to force their way in.
Tuchel will be keeping tabs on them, but we may see both players miss out on England call-ups for the World Cup despite their obvious quality.
