Final | Chiefs allow late TD, fall to Jaguars 31-28

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs return to prime time Monday night in a key AFC battle against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Chiefs (2-2) are looking for their third-straight win over the Jaguars (3-1) from EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. on ESPN.

UPDATE, 10:15 p.m. | The Chiefs were unable to take advantage of the time remaining in the game and fall to the Jags 31-28.

UPDATE, 10:10 p.m. | The Jags found a way to get a touchdown and have taken a 31-28 lead with less than a minute to go.

UPDATE, 10 p.m. | The Chiefs have retaken the lead 28-24 after a 2-yard touchdown run from Kareem Hunt.

UPDATE, 9:42 p.m. | The Jags re-took the lead 24-21 after a 52-yard field goal.

UPDATE, 9:35 p.m. | Thanks to a CB Trent McDuffie interception, the Chiefs tied the game at 21-21 with a 9-yard touchdown run from Kareem Hunt.

UPDATE, 9:10 p.m. | The Chiefs looked poised to re-take the lead on a 10+plus play drive, but a pick six by the Jags defense gave Jacksonville a 21-14 lead late in the 3rd quarter.

UPDATE, 9 p.m. | Jacksonville took their first possession of the second half and scored a touchdown on QB Trevor Lawrence's run. All tied at 14.

UPDATE, 8:34 p.m. | At the half, the Chiefs lead 14-7.

UPDATE, 8:22 p.m. | The Jags finally found the scoreboard late in the 2nd quarter as they cut the Chiefs lead down to 14-7.

UPDATE, 8:05 p.m. | Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was just part of another touchdown, this time using his feet to give the Chiefs a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.

UPDATE, 7:45 p.m. | The Chiefs offense picked up tonight where it left off last week as QB Patrick Mahomes found TE Travis Kelce in the endzone to give the Chiefs an early 7-0 lead late in the 1st quarter.

UPDATE, 6:50 p.m. | The Chiefs have added offensive tackle Josh Simmons to the injury list minutes before kickoff. Simmons is listed as questionable with an illness.

UPDATE, 5:50 p.m. | The inactives lists are out for both the Chiefs and Jaguars. Here's an early look at who's out for tonight's game:

UPDATE, 5 p.m. | Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Saturday that everyone was able to practice in the team's final walk-through before heading to Florida on Sunday.

Late Sunday afternoon, the team announced wide receiver Xavier Worthy had been added to the injury report as he continues to deal with lingering shoulder issues and a new ankle issue. Worthy was listed as questionable for the game.
