Jamie Carragher makes a claim about Sean Dyche at Everton amid Nottingham Forest links

Former Everton manager Sean Dyche is being linked with a number of clubs.

After leaving Everton in January, Sean Dyche has been tipped to join multiple Championship and Premier League sides.

Dyche was interviewed by Leicester City in the summer and has been linked with a move to join Scottish giants Rangers.

The former Toffees boss is now being mooted to replace Ange Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest by some, and when discussing that on the Overlap, Jamie Carragher made a claim about the job he did at Everton.

Jamie Carragher makes claim about Sean Dyche at Everton

Speaking on the Overlap, Carragher and a Nottingham Forest fan discussed the possibility of Dyche replacing Postecoglou and gave a verdict on how he fared at Everton.

“I’d take Sean Dyche. I think right now,” The Nottingham Forest fan said.

Carragher asked: “He lives in Nottingham. Did he come through the ranks as a kid, didn’t he?”

Forest fan replied: “We love him. See him in Rock City. He’s a brilliant guy. So, and that matters. He loves Nottingham. I think that’s one thing Ange’s struggling with.”

Carragher added: “He did a decent job at Everton.”

Sean Dyche also linked to Rangers job

After Rangers sacked Russell Martin earlier this week, Dyche was quickly linked with a move to Ibrox and it’s understood he’d be open to taking the job.

According to his close friend Tim Sherwood, Dyche would want assurances that he would be given time to build.

“He has the personality to deal with it up there as well, I think he would be fantastic,” Sherwood explained.

“Dychey would go to Scotland if he felt like you could be winners, and he felt like he would have the time.

“But he has seen Russell Martin and there is no time, you have to hit the ground running if you are Glasgow Rangers manager.”

Some Manchester United fans even want Dyche to replace Ruben Amorim, so clearly his stock wasn’t damaged at Everton.
