Analyst Reveals ‘Mindblowing’ Stat About Cowboys On Sunday

The Dallas Cowboys‘ offense delivered an impressive performance in Week 5, with Javonte Williams and Ryan Flournoy creating franchise history.

Williams continued his breakout season while Flournoy, a second-year receiver, made his most significant impact yet.

The combination of their first-half production marked a milestone never before achieved in Cowboys history.

Together, they became the first duo in franchise history to reach 100 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving in the same half.

“This is a mindblowing stat… According to Cowboys PR, going back to 1978, there has NEVER been a game in which the Cowboys have had a 100-yard rusher and a 100-yard receiver in the same half of a game. Never Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin. Never Zeke Elliott and Dez Bryant. Never Tony Dorsett and Drew Pearson. Javonte Williams and Ryan Flournoy, just as we all would predict,” Mike Leslie posted on X.

This is a mindblowing stat. The Cowboys had Javonte Williams run for 108 yards in the first half, and Ryan Flournoy amass 104 receiving yards before halftime as well.

Flournoy caught two passes over 40 yards in the opening half, finishing with 104 receiving yards by halftime.

Williams matched that dominance on the ground, racking up 108 rushing yards before the break.

The achievement stands out given Dallas’ history of elite offensive pairings.

Hall of Famers Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith never managed simultaneous halves like this, nor did combinations like Ezekiel Elliott with Dez Bryant or DeMarco Murray with Bryant.

Instead, sixth-round pick Flournoy, who played at three universities before being drafted, alongside heavily scrutinized free-agent Williams, accomplished the feat.

Flournoy finished with 114 yards on six catches and added 10 more on two rushes.

Williams contributed 135 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, plus a four-yard receiving touchdown.

Their production propelled Dallas to a 37-22 victory with 416 total yards of offense.

The Cowboys sit at 2-2-1, but Sunday offered a glimpse of their potential moving forward.
