Frank Lampard has completely reinvented himself since leaving Everton in 2023.
Everton sacked Frank Lampard in January 2023 after suffering nine defeats in 12 games, which left them second from bottom.
Lampard then had a less-than-convincing spell as interim manager at Chelsea, so when he joined Coventry City last November, there were some doubters.
However, the 47-year-old has done a terrific job with the Sky Blues and now has them top of the Championship table heading into the October international break.
Conor Coady has been speaking about Lampard this week and revealed what he was really like behind the scenes at Finch Farm.

Conor Coady shares what Frank Lampard was really like at Everton
Speaking on BBC’s Monday Night Club podcast, Coady revealed that he knew Lampard was a really good manager at Everton and perhaps an even better person.
“First and foremost with Frank, I think he’s amazing,” the former Everton defender explained.

“I had him at Everton, he signed me at Everton. I’m so happy for him in terms of how they’ve started because he obviously had a tough couple of years at Everton and had that little spell at Chelsea as well after.
“So to see him doing so well, I think for me first and foremost, it’s amazing to see because before being a football manager and how good he is as a football manager… he’s an unbelievable person, he’s a brilliant guy to sit and have a conversation with.
“So you want really good people to do really well, and the atmosphere he’s created there just seems unbelievable.”
Ally McCoist wants Frank Lampard at Rangers
Considering how well Lampard has done at Coventry, the links to bigger jobs have already started and former Rangers striker Ally McCoist wants him to replace Russell Martin at Rangers.
“I wish we’d taken my advice for the last one and that was Frank Lampard. That’s what I said, right? My exact tip was Frank Lampard,” McCoist told talkSPORT.
“And clearly Frank is doing exceptionally well now, and I think it would be nearly impossible to get him. But a lot of the people, myself included, I wouldn’t mind at all.”

Lampard was also being linked with a move to West Ham United before Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed.
Clearly his stock has risen dramatically since leaving Everton and he may well face the Toffees with Coventry in the Premier League next season.
