Green Bay Packers fans were elated to hear the news that Christian Watson has been designated to return from his ACL injury.
Watson got hurt during Week 18 of the 2024 season, and he was expected to be out for most of this year, if not the full season.
However, his recovery has been quicker than anyone could have hoped for, but his recent conversation with reporter Matt Schneidman revealed why he’s back in the fold so soon.
“I haven’t really taken a day off since my surgery,” Watson said.

As he mentioned, Watson has been working feverishly to make his way back to the field, wanting to help this offense in whatever way he can.
Having a massive player like Watson helps Jordan Love spread the ball around even more, as his sheer presence in a given game can be enough to put opposing defenses in a compromising position.
It will be interesting to see how Watson is used in his first game back, especially if it’s against the Arizona Cardinals, a team with a questionable secondary.
He could gain a lot of confidence by playing a team like the Cardinals, which is something players desperately seek after an injury of this magnitude.
Watson’s injury history has kept him off the field a lot throughout his young career, but with any luck, this will be the last major injury he suffers.
The team is better when he’s healthy, and considering his relationship with Love, he’ll be welcomed back with open arms, knowing they have the chance to make a deep playoff run.
