Quarterbacks usually throw a Hail Mary and hope someone catches it. They don’t run downfield themselves. Jalen Hurts isn’t your usual QB. A new overhead camera angle shows exactly how unique his play really is.

Jalen Hurts has earned a reputation as one of the NFL’s most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks. Speed, power, and creativity define his game. On the final play against Denver, he took that creativity to a whole new level.
Jalen Hurts’ Insane Plan To Catch His Own Hail Mary Gets Caught On Camera
The Eagles were fighting for their perfect season. Up 17-3 entering the fourth quarter, the Eagles’ defense collapsed and allowed 18 unanswered points to hand Denver a stunning 21-17 comeback win. Hurts had one last chance to save the undefeated season with a desperation heave from midfield.
Most quarterbacks launch the ball and stay put. Hurts had other ideas. The overheadangle shows him releasing the Hail Mary, then immediately breaking into a full sprint downfield.

He wasn’t jogging. He was hauling, trying to position himself as a potential receiver if the ball somehow bounced back toward the line of scrimmage.
The play fell apart when A.J. Brown grabbed DeVonta Smith’s facemask, but Hurts showed what kind of competitor he is.

He threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, took six sacks, and carried the team against one of the league’s toughest defenses while Barkley struggled on the ground.
The loss wasn’t on Hurts. The offensive line crumbled. The run game disappeared. Brown had only five catches for 43 yards.
Yet Hurts still almost pulled off something nobody’s ever seen before. Even with the meltdown, Hurts went for a bold play that left fans on social media going wild.
NFL Fans Go Nuts Over Jalen Hurts’ Never-Before-Seen Strategy
Social media couldn’t believe what they were watching when the footage dropped. The reactions ranged from pure admiration to complete disbelief at the audacity of the attempt.
One fanwrote, “He thought he was the flash.”
Anotheradded, “Bro said fuck it i’ll catch it myself.”
A thirdpointed out, “Risking pulling a hammy for nothin.”
The skeptics came out too. The fourth fannoted, “Dude wants to do everything but play the qb position.” That is a fair criticism considering the physical toll Hurts already absorbs when running the ball 10 or more times per game.
Most fans still saw the fire Hurts brought. He gave Philadelphia every chance to win, so the Eagles’ loss doesn’t entirely fall on him.
At 26, he did everything he could short of playing defense and blocking for himself. Sometimes that still isn’t enough.
