James Garner spoke of his delight that Jack Grealish was the man who scored Everton’s stoppage-time winner against Crystal Palace. The Blues brought an end to the Eagles' 19-game unbeaten run when Grealish netted three minutes into added time to secure his side a 2-1 victory at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Daniel Munoz had fired Oliver Glasner’s side ahead in the first-half before Iliman Ndiaye restored parity from the penalty spot 14 minutes from time after Maxence Lacroix brought down substitute Tim Iroegbunam. And Grealish, who joined on loan from Man City in the summer, scored his first goal in an Everton shirt when he was then in the right place to block a Munoz clearance and see it rebound into the net
“He's played so well since he's come in so I think he was due a goal,” Garner said. “I'm just glad it was him that got the last-minute winner today - other than myself, of course! I think we've been due a last-minute winner, especially at home.

“We've been pushing teams all the way up until the 90th minute and today up to the 110th minute or something like that. We've been due a last-minute winner, and I'm happy that we did it."
Palace looked comfortable at 1-0 but did not make the most of their chances, while a silly booking picked up by Yeremy Pino seemed to spark Blues supporters into life 20 minutes from time.
Garner was also cautioned after Pino had refused to move back 10-yards when Everton had been awarded a free-kick by the centre circle.
“I don't think it was a booking for me,” the midfielder said. “Definitely a booking for the other fella, but something as simple as that can definitely get the crowd going and get them raring.
“You see how passionate the manager was on the side. Little things like that can definitely put us on the front foot. I'm not saying that's what it was, but definitely little things like that.
“I think we've played better at home this season than we have away. That's ultimately down to the new feeling of the ground and the fans do get behind you.
“As soon as you start getting on the front foot, it doesn't even have to be creating chances or anything like that.
“It could just be pressing, tackling and stuff like that. When the crowd is with you, they are that extra man. I know it sounds cliche, but they really are.
“Ultimately we've lost one in six in the league, so I think you're forgetting that. We've had a few draws, but at the same time we're unbeaten at home and we've been playing some really good football.
“I think we've been a bit unlucky not to win a few of the draws as well so we need to keep on playing the way we are and those results are going to keep coming.”
