“$133K and Counting”: Travis Kelce Might Get Slapped With Another Fine After Chiefs-Jaguars…

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce entered Monday Night Football with a perfect 13-year record with no ejections or suspensions. Clean does not mean cheap. The three-time Super Bowl champ has racked up 10 fines totaling $133,918 since 2014. It started in his second season with an $11,025 fine for flipping off Denver fans.

Now the NFL’s top tight end might be adding another five-figure penalty. What happened Monday night could lead league officials to hand out another penalty.

The Chiefs lost 23-17 to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night, but Kelce’s night could get worse. The 35-year-old delivered an uncalled blindside block on linebacker Devin Lloyd that escaped the officials but won’t dodge the league office.

Under NFL rules, a first blindside block offense carries a fine of up to $17,389. A second violation jumps to $23,186.

The play didn’t draw a flag. That rarely matters. The NFL has already handed out five fines for blindside blocks this season, and Kelce’s hit on Lloyd fits the profile perfectly.

The former Cincinnati Bearcats star made history against the Jaguars with a two-yard touchdown catch, but that milestone might come with an expensive asterisk.

Kelce has already been fined once this season. The league handed him $14,491 after Week 2’s loss to Philadelphia for an obscene gesture toward the Eagles sideline.

That celebration, a dance made famous by former NBA player Sam Cassell, cost him nearly $15,000. With the possible Lloyd fine added, Kelce could face over $30,000 in penalties before Halloween.

The Chiefs tight end has built a reputation over 13 seasons. He has three rings, countless clutch catches, and a highlight reel that’ll play in Canton someday.

He’s also collected fines like participation trophies. The NFL doesn’t care about legacy when dollars are on the line.

**Travis Kelce Breaks Chiefs All-Purpose Yards Record on Opening Drive**

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two catches for 15 yards were all Kelce needed. He reached 12,357 all-purpose yards on Kansas City’s opening drive Monday night, surpassing Dante Hall’s 12,356-yard franchise record from 2006. Kelce now tops a list that includes Jamaal Charles and Tony Gonzalez.

Hall made his name as the X-Factor, a dynamic return specialist and receiver who lit up highlight reels from 2000 to 2006. His 12,356 all-purpose yards came from rushing, receiving, and electrifying kick returns that kept defenses on edge.

Kelce took a different path. No return yards. Just 13 seasons of catching everything thrown his way.

The milestone came just days after Taylor Swift dropped her latest album. Kelce finished Monday night with seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown on eight targets.

His 79th career touchdown pull gave him another line in the Chiefs record book. But the record that matters most came on a quiet 15-yard night in the first quarter.

Kansas City sits 2-3 after the loss. Trevor Lawrence stumbled twice after the snap in the final 23 seconds before finding the end zone for the go-ahead score that buried the Chiefs. Mahomes’ desperation throw fell incomplete.

The Jaguars improved to 4-1 while Kansas City dropped to third in the AFC West behind the Chargers and Broncos.

The Chiefs host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. Detroit has scored 52, 38, 34, and 37 points in their last four games.

Kelce might be watching from the sideline with a lighter wallet, but at least he’ll have the franchise record to show for it.
