Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox had a conversation with the players regarding the future of head coach Ruben Amorim.
Last weekend’s convincing 2-0 win over Sunderland has unsurprisingly brought positivity around the club heading into the October international break.
Mason Mount, who scored in the game, even sounded out his support for Amorim, saying that the team is “100 per cent behind the gaffer”.
Obviously, it is not up to the players whether Amorim will stay or not, but as per reports, it is clear that Manchester United value the input of the squad.

The report adds that the feedback about Amorim and the atmosphere in the dressing room is good.
Responding to Mount’s words of support, Amorim previously made it clear that the players should show it in their play.
“I saw today, and I know that they want to do the best, and I know that they don’t want to change the coach all the time,” Amorim said in the post-match press conference.
“But like I said during this week, to be with the manager is… ‘I will kill myself to go in every transition.’
“We need to show with actions.
“And sometimes when we look at our team, I know for sure that when we see the games in the end, they know that sometimes we can do better.
“So, I feel that during the week, but we need to show that on the pitch, not just at home, but also away.”
