The Packers are dealing with injuries along the defensive line, perhaps none more impactful than Dyonte Wyatt working through a knee injury, and Green Bay began the week working out a handful of defensive linemen.
According to the NFL’s transaction wire, five defensive linemen worked out in Green Bay for the Packers, ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals:
Tommy Akingbesote
Anthony Campbell
Keondre Coburn
Fabien Lovett
Omari Thomas
The Packers’ depth along the defensive line is being tested and Monday’s workouts show that general manager Brian Gutekunst, head coach Matt LaFleur and defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley are intent on leaving no stone unturned looking for players who can become part of Green Bay’s rotation up front.
Akingbesote was originally chosen in the seventh round of this spring’s NFL Draft, by the Dallas Cowboys, out of Maryland but has yet to appear in an NFL game after being released earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Coburn has played in 20 NFL games since the Kansas City Chiefs chose him in the sixth round back in 2020.
Green Bay Packers Coach Matt LaFleur, left, talks with General Manager Brian Gutekunst during practice on July 25, 2025, at Ray Nitschke Field in Ashwaubenon, Wis.
