CASPER, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming has produced several NFL players currently making an impact. Here’s how they did in the most recent week’s slate of games.
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Though the Buffalo Bills were saddled with their first loss on Sunday, falling 23-20 in a nailbiter to the New England Patriots, Allen still gave a strong showing.
The star quarterback was 22-of-31 on his passing attempts, good for 253 yards. He threw two touchdowns, but also threw his second interception in as many weeks, after having none through the first three weeks of the season.
On the season, Allen has 1,217 passing yards and nine touchdowns through the air, both of which are top-10 marks in the league.
Allen and the Bills will look to get back to their winning ways in a Monday Night Football match-up with the Atlanta Falcons.
Frank Crum, Denver Broncos
The Broncos were victorious 21-17 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5, but Crum, an offensive lineman, did not take the field. The second-year UW alum has yet to see action this season.
The Broncos will face the New York Jets on Sunday.
Marcus Epps, Philadelphia Eagles
Epps was quiet in his team’s Sunday loss to the Broncos.
The safety took the field for 14 downs but did not record a stat against Denver. Epps has five tackles in total so far this season.
The Eagles will next see action Thursday against the New York Giants.
Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints picked up their first win of the season in Week 5, and Granderson played a notable role in helping his team into the wins column with a 26-14 win over the Giants.
Granderson finished the game with six tackles, and also put pressure on Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart with a QB hit.
Granderson has 26 tackles thus far this season, and his 7.5 sacks are tied for the seventh-best total in the NFL.
The Saints will square off vs. the Patriots on Sunday.
Chad Muma, Indianapolis Colts
Muma was quiet in Week 5, but it didn’t ultimately matter as his Colts hammered the Las Vegas Raiders 40-6.
Muma took the field for 28 snaps, finishing with one tackle. Thus far this season, Muma has recorded four.
The Colts will face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 on Sunday.
Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals
Wilson had what was perhaps his best game of the 2025-26 season on Sunday, though it wasn’t enough to help his team to victory, as the Bengals fell to the Detroit Lions 37-24.
Wilson, a Casper native, finished with eight tackles and a fumble recovery in the loss.
The star linebacker boasts 33 total tackles this season, and Sunday’s fumble recovery was his first takeaway of the season.
The Bengals — who have now lost three straight after opening the season with back-to-back wins — will look to get back on track Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars won a 31-28 thriller over the Kansas City Chiefs, and former Poke Andrew Wingard played a key role for the Jags’ defense in the win.
Wingard finished with seven tackles, and also landed a QB hit on Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
Wingard has 29 tackles and an interception through five weeks.
The Jaguars will look to stay hot on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
