Two-way star Travis Hunter was the subject of many intriguing stories before and after the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him second overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Playing Clash of Clans while he waited for his name to be called comes to mind. Another one was when he befriended a fellow passenger who had no idea who he was.
After attending his graduation at Colorado, Hunter flew back to Jacksonville. During the trip, he helped passenger Sandy Hawkins Combs with her luggage and made sure she had a pleasant experience. Throughout the interaction, she realized the West Palm Beach, Florida native played for the Jags, and that's what makes the story so heartwarming. Hunter was just being himself, and that made him so endearing.
Fast forward to Week 5 of the 2025 season, and Hawkins Combs was among the attendees at EverBank Stadium who watched Jacksonville beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

That goes on to show just how great a guy he is. It's also worth noting that before her initial interaction with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Hawkins Combs didn't have a favorite NFL team but became a Jags fan because of him.
She couldn't have picked a better time to become a Jaguars fan, asthey're 4-1 for the fourth time in franchise history and are coming off a pair of convincing wins over a pair of playoff teams, the Niners and the Chiefs.

On defense, Hunter didn't have many big plays but held his own, logging 25 snaps at corner and allowing just one catch on three targets for seven yards. Simply put, the former Buffalo came through, and Hawkins Combs was there to watch him.
Just before the game, there were doubts about the Jaguars' usage of Hunter, with talking heads suggesting he stick to one position. Against the Chiefs, he proved that he won't be doing it anytime soon, showing that he's right on track.
