Manchester United’s U21 team currently sits top of the Premier League 2, and there have been multiple outstanding performers this season so far.
Travis Binnion has reaped the rewards of the ultra-successful U18 side of recent years, as they are shining at the U21 level this season for Manchester United.
Shea Lacey has been really impressive for United, getting himself back to his best with goals and assists, earning first-team recognition.
Also impressing this season has been Jack Fletcher. With a belief that he should already be a senior debutant, Fletcher has even shone at left-back.
Jayce Fitzgerald has also impressed, as has another underrated academy talent, who now has other clubs watching his development.

Jacob Devaney is catching the eyes of Premier League clubs
While it is often the names like Lacey and Fletcher that are discussed as key men for Binnion’s side, Jacob Devaney is also a vital cog in the machine.
Devaney has been compared with Declan Rice, being a combative, versatile, all-rounder in midfield or a centre-back.
This season, he has been the U21 captain, leading from the back, and his displays have caught the eye.

This is according to the Daily Mail, which reports that Devaney has been excellent this season and now has suitors.
The Republic of Ireland talent is being closely watched by a number of Premier League clubs, along with some top European sides.
Jacob Devaney could struggle long-term to get minutes at Manchester United
Hearing that clubs across Europe and in the Premier League are interested in Devaney is a sign of his talent.
Devaney has trained with United’s first team this season; however, long-term, it could be difficult for him to break through.
United are very well stacked in terms of academy midfielders, with Cristian Orozco only going to make it more difficult for Devaney.
We can see Devaney being the required quality for the Red Devils, but he may lack that cutting edge to be considered ahead of Jim Thwaites, Tyler Fletcher, or Sekou Kone right now.
Hopefully, he proves us wrong and breaks through.
