The biggest new Premier League transfer rumours - with news from Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and many more.
Welcome to 3 Added Minutes’ regular morning round-up and review of the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours – and today we’re kicking off with a pair of stories which suggest that Chelsea will face some competition to land their targets in 2026.
First up, Caught Offside claim that Chelsea are “rivalling Arsenal” for the signature of Barcelona midfielder Marc Casadó, with the Blues said to hold “a strong interest” in the 22-year-old Spain international.
Arsenal are “also admirers” of Casadó, but apparently Chelsea discussed a transfer during abortive negotiations over his team-mates Fermin López during the summer. Apparently, Enzo Maresca’s side “will try” to get a deal for Casadó done over the winter if they can.
According to unnamed sources, Barcelona could let Casadó go for around €30-35m (£26-30m) as they look to find players to sell to keep the ship afloat amid their ongoing financial problems.
The 3AM Verdict: The story linking Chelsea with Casadóisn’t remotely new and is so widely reported that we suspect that their interest is entirely genuine at this stage, but the price tag is new to us – we’ve mostly seen €50m listed as the likely asking price. If he is indeed available for less, that only increases the chances that a deal gets done in 2026.
Chelsea also battling Manchester United for £30m midfielder
Let’s switch over to another story from Caught Offside which plays on similar themes now – not only are Chelsea after Casadó, they’ve also allegedly “joined the race” to sign Brentford midfielder Yehor Yarmolyuk, who is supposedly valued at around £30m.
They’ll “face competition” from both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, whose head coach Thomas Frank was manager of the Ukrainian at the Community Stadium until the summer.
Brentford, for their part, “are unwilling to sanction” the departure of the 21-year-old in the near future, which suggests that a January deal is off the table, but this is far from the first story which suggests a potential transfer battle is set to take place next summer.
The 3AM Verdict: We’ve seen Spurslinked with Yarmolyuk frequently, and United once or twice, but Chelsea is a relatively new name in the supposed bidding. We suspect that reflects the fact that Chelsea are focused more on other targets, but we don’t doubt that he’s the kind of player that the Blues will be doing their due diligence on.
West Ham targeting Fulham star for January move
Let’s leave Chelsea behind for our final story of today’s digest – according to TeamTalk, Fulham are “expected to face a decision” this winter when West Ham United make a move for winger Adama Traoré.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are said to be “in the mix” for the Spaniard, who has yet to start a league game under Marco Silva this season, and the Hammers are “among the clubs keeping tabs” on the 29-year-old. The other prospective buyers aren’t named.
Santo, who worked with Traoré at Wolves, “remains an admirer” and Fulham, for their part, are supposedly “open to sanctioning a move” should the right offer arrive. The size of that offer isn’t speculated on in the article, unfortunately.
The 3AM Verdict: Traoré is definitely a solid candidate for a January move and it’s hard to see why such a deal couldn’t be struck if negotiations go well. As for whether West Ham are really interested or not, we’ll find out in a couple of months.
