Real Madrid to replace Aurelien Tchouameni with Angelo Stiller’s Stuttgart teammate: Report

Real Madrid may decide against offering Aurélien Tchouaméni a new offer and may replace him with a Castilla product, a Spanish media report said.

Nico Paz is almost certain to make a comeback to Real Madrid next season, but the player expected to replace Frenchman Tchouaméni is another player, as per the report. It is the Argentine's former teammate Chema Andrés who is now linked to a return to the Santiago Bernabéu in the upcoming season.

20-year-old Chema Andrés was included in the squad for the Club World Cup in the United States by Xabi Alonso. However, as expected, he didn't get any minutes in the star-studded Real Madrid midfield. Soon, he secured a move to Bundesliga's VfB Stuttgart—the club of Angelo Stiller who was heavily linked to Real earlier. As things stand, the Real Madrid academy product is preferred over Stiller at times after a spectacular start to the campaign.

The Spaniard left the Real youth ranks after two seasons as a key player for former gaffer Raúl's midfield. The 6 feet 2 tall, right-footed player is a good pivot for Stuttgart and this is said to be the main reason why the Los Blancos need him.

Young Tchouaméni's current contract at the Real Madrid capital will run out in 2028 and there have been no talks about a contract extension yet. Carlo Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso have both used Tchouaméni often but AS claims that Chema Andrés is likely to come into the squad as a direct replacement for the 25-year-old.

The German team paid Real €3 million for 50% of his rights, AS said. The final deal to bring him back would be around €6-7 million, a sum that should not be a problem for the 15-time European champions.

Nico Paz to Real Madrid?

Nico Paz, meanwhile, joined Como on a permanent deal after spending eight years with Real Madrid. He was unable to cement a place in Los Blancos’ starting eleven despite featuring in the UEFA Champions League as a teenager. However, he proved his worth under Cesc Fàbregas at Como.

The Argentine, who started as a defender in the Madrid academy, later started operating on the wings before settling down in the midfield. Nico Paz was used as a substitute for Fede Valverde by Real in a Champions League game before being trusted to replace Dani Carvajal on the right side of the defence during a league clash. In all, he managed eight appearances for the club (four in La Liga) before being sold to the Italian side.
