**You say you want to take your next step – did you feel you had to leave France in order to keep developing?**
**Bussy:** “Yes, absolutely. I had offers from France – including from Lyon and Paris – but I wanted to experience something new. At the end of last season, I was disappointed not to be called up for the Euros, even though my performances were good. I told myself that maybe, I needed to go abroad to take my next step. I was absolutely right. When Wolfsburg got in touch, I didn’t have to think twice.”
**You host Paris Saint-Germain in your Champions League opener on Wednesday – a team you know very well. Have you shared your knowledge of PSG with your team-mates?**
**Bussy:** “Of course! (laughs) Everyone has asked me about the game. During our video analysis, they kept asking, ‘What’s this player like? And that one?’ I know a lot of them well, including some from the national team, so it’s a special game for me.”

**What do you make of PSG? There were plenty of changes at the club over the summer…**
**Bussy:** “Their system has changed significantly since Paulo Cesar took charge of the team. That’s why I couldn’t contribute much tactically during our analysis. Grace Geyoro’s departure was a big loss – she was the heart of the team. Paris still have plenty of top players, though, including Elisa De Almeida, Griedge Mbock and Sakina Karchaoui. I’ve warned my team-mates that you can’t underestimate PSG just because a lot has changed. However, I’m also convinced that we have everything we need to hold our own against them.”
**You scored back-to-back doubles in the DFB Cup and the Bundesliga recently. Do you feel like you’ve properly settled here now?**
**Bussy:** “I’m on the right track, at least. (laughs) The coach has placed a lot of faith me in, and the whole team have been very patient and supportive, which has helped me enormously. In the three months I’ve been here, I’ve already learned a lot, both in football and psychological terms. I have more games under my belt now and a better understanding with my team-mates, which is reflected in the numbers. I’m really happy with my first goals for Wolfsburg. To be honest, though, when you get assists like that you simply have to score! (laughs)”
