Everton star Iliman Ndiaye finally responds to the rumours that linked him to Inter Milan

Iliman Ndiaye has become a talismanic figure for Everton since joining from Marseille in 2024.

In his debut season, Iliman Ndiaye netted a very commendable 11 goals despite operating in a struggling side for half of the season.

That sparked interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, but Everton were adamant Ndiaye wasn’t going anywhere.

The Toffees rejected a £40m bid for Ndiaye and now the 24-year-old has finally responded to those rumours that emerged late on in the summer window.

Iliman Ndiaye responds to Inter Milan rumours

Speaking to Everton’s website, Ndiaye admitted it was never part of his thought process to leave for Inter Milan.

“I was always very keen to stay here and be part of this new chapter for Everton,” the Senegal international said.

“As I always say, if there are rumours or interest like that, it must mean you’re doing something right, right?! I’m really happy to be at this club and be part of a new project with the new stadium, new ownership.

“I want to achieve things with Everton, I want to win trophies, which the club hasn’t seen for too long and things like that. It’s an aim for us to work towards. You know, winning a trophy would be huge for this club and for the supporters, but also for me. It’s an ambition of mine, too.”
