Eagles trade targets: 5 players worth pursuing ahead of deadline

The NFL trade deadline is less than a month away, which means the clock is ticking for Howie Roseman and the Eagles to make a big move as they pursue another Super Bowl.

Roseman has always been aggressive, and the Eagles have 10 picks in the 2026 draft to work with. So it’s fair to assume that they’ll at least try to swing a deal or two in the coming weeks to improve what is now a 4-1 team.

There are a few spots in particular the Eagles should look to beef up.

Edge rusher was a preseason worry, and that was before Nolan Smith landed on IR. Dallas Goedert has missed plenty of time over his career, and backup Grant Calcaterra is dealing with an oblique injury, which isn’t ideal for an offense that heavily utilizes two-tight end sets. And while Kelee Ringo is making progress, CB2 is still a concern.

Roseman knows all this. Surely, he’s scouring the trade market, calling dumpster fire teams across the league looking to make a trade or two.

Here are five players who interest us — and should interest the Eagles ahead of the league’s Nov. 4 trade deadline.

Trey Hendrickson, EDGE, Cincinnati Bengals

If Roseman is going to make a splash, this would be one. Cincinnati is trying to stay relevant by trading for Joe Flacco. But they’re not going anywhere with Joe Burrow out. That should make Hendrickson, who led the league with 17 1/2 sacks last year, available. The four-time Pro Bowl selection is in the last year of his deal. It’s unlikely the Eagles could sign Hendrickson long-term with Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean deals looming. But it might be worth parting with one of three third-round picks to get Hendrickson pinning his ears back.

Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami Dolphins

This is a more realistic, capital-conscious addition. The Dolphins are terrible and should be sellers. Phillips’ previous two seasons have been derailed by Achilles and knee injuries. But the 2021 first-round pick, who had 15 1/2 sacks in his first two seasons, has done well rushing the passer this year (16 pressures). Phillips is in the last year of his rookie deal, so this is another rental. But parting with a fourth or fifth-rounder for a player of Phillips’ caliber would make sense.

Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, Cincinnati Bengals

If the Eagles don’t land Hendrickson, there’s still another Bengal on an expiring contract worth a look. Taylor-Britt has been a starter for Cincinnati since he was a 2022 second-round pick. While he hasn’t been great this year, the former Nebraska standout was an above average corner in 2022, 2023 and 2024. For a fifth or sixth? Sure.

Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are 1-4, Lamar Jackson is injured, and they just traded former first-rounder Odafe Oweh while already dealing with a bad pass rush. Baltimore might be in fire sale mode, and tight end Isaiah Likely is back from a broken foot. All of those factors point to Baltimore dumping Andrews, the 2021 All-Pro selection in the last year of his contract, for a Day 3 pick. Would Andrews be willing to take a smaller role to play for a Super Bowl contender?

Dawson Knox, TE, Buffalo Bills

Knox has taken a backseat in his seventh season with the Bills. Dalton Kincaid has cemented himself as Buffalo’s top tight end while rookie Jackson Hawes has emerged. But Knox, who had 1,104 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in 2021 and 2022, can help in the passing game. But perhaps more importantly, he’s a solid run blocker.
