Manchester United are reportedly plotting to bring Raphinha back to the Premier League. Ruben Amorim's team is willing to offer Barcelona a sum between €120 to €150 million for the former Leeds United star, the report said.
Barcelona is not fully out of their financial troubles despite winning the La Liga last season and will be open to selling their in-form Brazilian attacker if the offer is spectacular, the Spanish media that reported the development said. The club will not accept any deal less than €120 million for the player who managed 34 goals across all competitions in the 2024-25 season.
The 28-year-old is considered a "necessary leap in quality to revive their sporting vision" by Manchester United, Fichajes said in a report, before adding that there are doubters in the United camp who worry if it is okay to shell out a big sum for a player in his late 20s. However, a majority is of the opinion that a proven asset like him could be the missing piece who can change the entire atmosphere for the good.
United have also been called out for bringing on board players with no Premier League experience. Getting the former Leeds attacker is also an opportunity to counter the criticism. Between 2020 and 2022, he played 65 games for the Peacocks, scoring 17 times.
