When reporters asked Deion Sanders about the deal on Tuesday, he was blunt and refocused attention to Colorado. “I don’t give a darn about the Browns at all. I care about the Colorado Buffaloes,” Sanders said, adding, “I do love me some Shedeur Sanders… I care about him. The rest of that mess, I don’t. I’m a coach trying to win just like they’re trying to win games, but I could care less of who they traded.”

The remark came during his weekly press interactions as Colorado tries to recover from back-to-back losses and a 2-4 start. Sanders also told hosts on the ‘New Heights’ podcast he has “got a feeling when it’s going to go down,” urging patience and readiness from his son.
With Flacco out of Cleveland, Shedeur Sanders naturally moves up the Browns’ depth chart, though Dillon Gabriel remains the starter. The trade clears a quarterback block and nets Cleveland a bit of draft capital while the team leans into developing Gabriel long-term. For Shedeur, the roster shuffle improves his chances but doesn’t guarantee playing time. Deion’s message was clear that stay ready, be patient and perform when opportunity arrives this season ahead.
