Manchester United’s academy sides have been in strong form so far this season, with several youngsters impressing.
The club’s focus on youth development remains a cornerstone of its long-term vision, and United’s ongoing investment in Carrington has only strengthened the foundations for future stars to emerge.
Recent fixtures have showcased the depth of talent within the system, with players like Shea Lacey continuing to make headlines for their rapid progress.
United’s Under-21s, in particular, have been testing themselves against elite-level opponents across Europe, giving the next generation of Reds valuable international exposure.
As part of the club’s continued emphasis on building global football relationships, it has been confirmed that United will soon welcome one of Africa’s most successful clubs to England for a high-profile encounter.

The young Amakhosi side made history by winning the DDC title for the first time, collecting a remarkable 70 points, and will now travel to England for an 11-day footballing experience from 25 November to 7 December 2025.
The South African champions will kick off their UK tour with a much-anticipated clash against Manchester United on Friday, 28 November, before taking on Leeds United on 2 December and Queens Park Rangers U21 on 6 December in London.
United take on Kaizer Chiefs just two days before their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, suggesting that fringe and academy players are likely to feature in the friendly instead.
Chiefs’ visit will also include academy exchange sessions with both Manchester United and Liverpool, allowing players and coaches to share knowledge, training techniques, and development philosophies, an invaluable opportunity for the South Africans to learn from two of the most prestigious academies in world football.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are exploring additional international plans of their own, with discussions ongoing about arranging a mid-season friendly in Saudi Arabia.
The idea, still in early stages, would allow Amorim’s side to train in warmer conditions while capitalising on free midweeks in the winter schedule.
Both initiatives underline United’s commitment to global engagement – blending competition, collaboration, and commercial growth in equal measure.
