Cindy Crawford is one of 50 collaborators who designed pieces with Zara for the brand’s milestone 50th anniversary.

For one of her chosen pieces, Crawford picked denim cutoffs—reminiscent of her 1992 Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi, which remains one of the most famous Super Bowl commercials of all time.

Crawford has recreated the commercial many times in the 33 years since it originally aired.

Cindy Crawford recreated one of her most iconic moments in fashion for a new Zara campaign celebrating the brand’s 50th birthday: posing in denim cutoffs, reminiscent of her 1992 Pepsi ad that aired during that year’s Super Bowl.

In a photo Crawford posted to Instagram on October 7, the supermodel posed in denim cutoffs and an off-the-shoulder brown top, overlooking a gorgeous ocean view, palm trees included. Crawford was one of 50 creators to help Zara celebrate its milestone anniversary, and it’s one of many times in the 33 years since the original commercial aired that Crawford has gotten back into the denim cutoffs that were a part of one of the most famous Super Bowl commercials of all time.

Crawford shares two kids with husband Rande Gerber—son Presley and daughter Kaia, who, like her mother before her, has taken the modeling industry by storm. When asked by People if Gerber plans to recreate her mom’s Pepsi commercial herself someday, she said, “I definitely think the Pepsi thing would be fun. But if they’re going to do her—it has to be the iconic commercial, but a new version of that.”

“It’s like, some things are just so good you don’t even want to touch them,” Gerber added. “And I think some of those moments I’m just like, ‘Leave them there,’ you know?”

Speaking on Today earlier this year, Gerber said that no matter what her mom did for a living—supermodel or otherwise—she would have wanted to emulate her because “She’s always been my biggest inspiration and hero,” Gerber said on the show. That said, both of the Gerber siblings said that Crawford is anything but a stage mom, with her daughter adding, “It’s in a way where I’m like, I kind of wish you were a little bit more, but she’s so not a stage mom at all, because she’s had her own life experiences. And she has never lived vicariously through us.”

In a separate interview with Vogue, Gerber said, “I saw how hard my mom worked and the life that she made for herself through this career, and that really inspired me.”

Crawford told Today of prioritizing her work with her family life, “The greatest thing about having kids is you just…instantly know your priorities. You know it’s always family first.” Turning to her son, she added, “I think you told in preschool, [when] there was, like, ‘What do your parents do for work?’ And you told your preschool teachers that I didn’t work, and I was like, ‘Wow, that means I’m doing a great job because he doesn’t feel my absence so much.’”

In an interview with Palm Springs Life published last month, Crawford spoke about being “empty nesters now” and “trying to figure out what our next chapter is.”

These days, she added, life in the desert is a bit more calm than the heyday of her modeling career and, later, her days as a mom: “I’ll maybe get up, have a cup of coffee, go for a walk, have breakfast, maybe go to the gym, read a book, sit by the pool,” Crawford said.
