Everton have extended the contract of defender James Tarkowski.
James Tarkowski’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but David Moyes and his chiefs have now tied him down to a new deal running until 2028.
“I’m super excited and proud to be an Everton player and to continue this journey,” Tarkowski told Everton’s website.
“It’s been a crazy few years with some big lows and some massive highs. We’ve managed to get through those tough times and hopefully now we’re on to more positive and exciting times ahead.”
Now it’s just emerged that three other Everton players are in talks to sign new contracts.

According to The Athletic, the Toffees are trying to renew the contracts of James Garner and Vitali Mykolenko.
Jordan Pickford’s discussions with the club are also ongoing, and he could pen a contract that would keep him on Merseyside until he retires.
James Tarkowski outlines his ambitions for Everton
After putting pen to paper on his new contract, Tarkowski outlined his goals over the next few seasons.
“It’s always been an ambition of mine to play European football,” the former England international admitted.
“I had a brief spell with Burnley in the qualifiers but we didn’t make it to the group stages, so I want to get there.
“It’s the manager’s goal, it’s our goal as a team and, so far, we’ve started pretty well. Of course, it could have been better but we’ve had a decent start and we’re definitely striving to get into those European spots and bring European football to our new stadium.”
Everton are currently sitting in eighth, which is a position that could be enough to qualify for the UEFA Conference League.
