The Los Angeles Lakers released a new video on Wednesday titled “Forever Iconic: Purple and Gold Always | Lakers Film.”
The video, directed by Kobe Bryant’s eldest daughter, Natalia, featured a few celebrity cameos, including Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani.

In the video, Ohtani is wearing a Japanese Lakers hat, and winks at the camera before swinging his bat.
The video also features Lakers star Luka Doncic, actress Brenda Song and fashion designer Jeff Hamilton. It highlights tons of Lakers fans and the community surrounding one of the most famous sports organizations in the world.
Ohtani is in his second year of a 10-year, $700 million deal with the Dodgers, but has already established himself as one of the all-time legends in the city’s rich sports history.
He led the Dodgers to a World Series in his first year with the club, and is looking to do the same in the midst of another postseason run.

As for the Lakers, they added a generational superstar in their own in Luka Doncic last season. Now, he’s set to lead the Lakers for years to come as they look to get back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2020.
