Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho is reportedly set to resume full training with Aston Villa.

The 25-year-old winger, who only joined the club a month ago, is looking to make a positive impact on Unai Emery and his team after his season-long loan move from Old Trafford.

Sancho has clocked up 82 minutes over two matches for Villa since his transfer and is hoping to play a more significant role soon, having trained separately from United's first team during pre-season.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund forward arrived at Villa Park late in the summer transfer window following a summer of uncertainty, after Chelsea opted to pay a £5million penalty fee instead of making his loan deal permanent at the end of last season.

And the Daily Mail report that Sancho has been working separately from the first-team squad recently, while he was recovering from illness.

Villa face Tottenham Hotspur after the international break amid a run of four straight victories across all competitions.

Sancho has been reduced to just one appearance for Villa this season, an eight-minute cameo during September's 1-1 draw with newly promoted Sunderland.

The 25-year-old has gone on to make two more outings in the EFL Cup and Europa League, respectively, but has not come off the bench in either of their encounters with Everton and Fulham.

His preparations for the Premier League season were impacted by the decision from United to allow the wantaway players extra time away from the first team, in order to explore their options.

Emery has recently made it clear that Villa have to get Sancho fit before he can fire on all cylinders.

“We have to build a team again to be as strong as possible in our structure and get new players to adapt as soon as possible,” said Emery.

“In the offensive positions, we need to get Sancho fit and get Elliott adapted to us."
