SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz injury report for the 2025-26 preseason opener against the Houston Rockets is sure to remind fans of the difficult season they endured in 2024-25.
Several top rotation players are on the Jazz’s injury report for the first of a four-game preseason schedule.

Utah Jazz Injury Report Vs. Houston Rockets
OUT – Lauri Markkanen (Left Wrist Contusion)
OUT – Walker Kessler (Left Shoulder Bursitis)
OUT – Georges Niang (Left Foot, Fourth Metatarsal Stress Reaction)
OUT – Isaiah Collier (Right Hamstring Strain)
OUT – Kyle Filipowski (Lower Back Injury Management)
OUT – Max Abmas (Not With Team)
OUT – Cameron McGriff (Not With Team)
The Jazz’s two longest tenured players, Lauri Markkanen (wrist) and Walker Kessler (shoulder) will miss Wednesday’s preseason opener due to injury.
Niang was in a walking boot during media day as the team is taking a cautious approach to a stress reaction in his left foot.
Second-year players Isaiah Collier (hamstring) and Kyle Filipowski (back) will also sit out in Houston.
Rookies Ace Bailey and Walt Clayton Jr. are expected to make their Jazz debuts against the Rockets.
Kevin Durant Expected To Suit Up For Rockets
After missing Monday’s preseason opener against the Atlanta Hawks, Kevin Durant is expected to make his Rockets debut against the Jazz.
Durant was traded to Houston in July as part of a massive seven-team deal.

How To Watch Jazz Vs. Rockets
The Jazz will travel to face the Rockets on Wednesday at 6 p.m. MST. The game will be televised on KJZZ, streamed on Jazz+, and heard on97.5 The KSL Sports Zone.
