The NBA was on high alert on Tuesday because it felt like LeBron James could be announcing his retirement.
Instead, James simply revealed an ad for Hennessy, and many people were left upset.
Following the big announcement, Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick poked fun at all the people who thought that James was moving away from the game.

When James announced that he was going to make a big decision, a lot of fans feared he was going to give an official date for his retirement.
At this point and at this age, no one would be shocked if James said he was nearing the end of his time in the league.
A lot of fans breathed a sigh of relief when James revealed the Hennessy ad, while others were upset that they were made to worry over nothing.
James’ retirement is certainly getting closer, and no one is sure how he will announce it.
Most analysts believe he will reveal his retirement long before his final season, giving the entire league plenty of time to celebrate him one last time.
In other words, he wouldn’t give up the chance of a great and deserved victory lap.
Others think he could announce it suddenly and without much warning.
Anything is possible, but one thing is guaranteed: James’ retirement is only getting closer and closer.
This time, it was just an ad, but someday, possibly soon, James will tell the world that he is hanging up his jersey for good.
