Steve Kerr Urges 1 Warriors Player To ‘Find The Edge’

Steve Kerr is attempting to prepare his Golden State Warriors for a very long, very tough, and very consequential season.

He wants them to achieve all of their goals, which means they need to rely on players beyond only Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green.

Speaking to Tim Kawakami’s “The TK Show,” Kerr talked about Brandin Podziemski and how he could take a step forward in the new season.

“He’s a competitor. He loves the game. He has high aspirations for himself and I love that about him. At the same time, I want him to find the edge without the emotional downswings, and that has been what is so encouraging so far,” Kerr said of Podziemski. “We haven’t played a real game, but we had three NBA officials in our building… for our scrimmage. He didn’t stop and complain one time and I was thrilled with that.”

Podziemski is a young man and is entering only his third season in the league.

At just 22 years old, he still has a lot to learn, both about playing and maintaining the right attitude.

Kerr is honest when he says that Podziemski has room for growth.

And, like a good and natural competitor, Podziemski is doing what’s necessary to become better.

Kerr wants to see Podziemski control his emotions more, especially when things aren’t going well.

All NBA players have challenges, and Kerr feels that Podziemski can approach his with the right kind of energy that can help, not harm, the team.

Warriors fans are going to be paying close attention to Podziemski in the new season, because many people feel he could be a crucial part of the team in a post-Curry era.
