Those were the worries, but a new comment from Rui Hachimura proves that Doncic has become very close with his teammates.
“We always mess around with each other. I always forget that he’s younger than me. It’s crazy to me. He teaches me a lot of stuff. He always wants to communicate with me about what he wants me to do on the floor. We always talk about some stuff, random stuff. We always talk about how bad Serbian music is. I always listen to afrobeats so he always chats and said afrobeats is bad,” Hachimura said.

Doncic has clearly grown close with Hachimura and other players in the lineup.
This is great news because it means he is more likely to stick with the Lakers for a long time, possibly for the rest of his career.
Doncic has publicly said that he wants to remain with a single team for his entire time in the league.
He was planning to ride it out with the Dallas Mavericks, but that team had other plans.
After coming to Los Angeles, Doncic needed some time to adjust and accept his new surroundings.
But he was soon seen smiling and laughing with his teammates, and it became obvious that strong bonds were growing.
That was confirmed in the summer when Doncic signed an extension with the team, a huge sign of his commitment.
