Horrible Lamar Jackson news gets worse

The Baltimore Ravens came into the season with Super Bowl aspirations. However, things have gone disastrously for Baltimore through the first handful of games. The Ravens are 1-4 on the season, and were blown out by the previously struggling Houston Texans in their last game.

It’s worth noting that star quarterback Lamar Jackson missed the game with a hamstring injury. There was some hope around Baltimore that Jackson would be able to return for this weekend’s contest against the Los Angeles Rams. Unfortunately, things aren’t tracking that way, and it’s looking increasingly likely that Jackson will miss yet another game.

“Lamar Jackson officially didn’t practice today,” [ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.](https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1976073864754102543)

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“The Ravens and 49ers are currently in a battle to see who can have more players injured—the Ravens are winning,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Hamstring curse hitting Ravens hard. 10 players on injury report for Rams clash, including Lamar and Roquan. At 1-4, missing key lads in defence too. With Cooper Rush stepping in, 3/1 for Rams looks tasty,” one fan added.

“He’s really gotta be hurt .. Lamar is a gamer and plays when banged up, so the fact that he’s out this long tells me that there’s more going on than they’ve disclosed Ravens are a VERY different team with/without Lamar Jackson,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Ravens can turn things around before the season gets even more out of hand.
