The San Francisco 49ers are looking to get back to the playoffs after missing out on the postseason last year, just one season removed from reaching the Super Bowl. The Niners have dealt with a staggering amount of injuries so far this season, but have still found a way to stay afloat.
San Francisco is 4-1 after its first five games, but the Niners know they’ll need thier stars back on the field if they want to keep the train rolling and have a chance to win the NFC West.
However, three key players aren’t trending toward a return any time soon, according to one prominent insider.
“No practice today for QB Brock Purdy (toe), WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) and WR Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs),” [reported ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.](https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1976014494297182591)
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“My guess is Jennings and Pearsall will play. Can’t hit those contract bonuses missing games,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“This should be assumed and the only report should be when they DO practice…at this point no one expects 75% of the 49ers roster to practice or play,” one fan added.
“Bourne significantly better than Pearsall or Jennings going by ESPN’s analytics. Tonges averaging more targets and TDs the last four games than Kittle has for the last five years. Jones looking like the good version of Purdy ie 2023 with a stronger arm. No rush boys,” another fan added.
It’l be interesting to see when the Niners return to full strength.
