The Los Angeles Lakers have two of the most talented players in the history of the sport on the roster in Luka Doncic and LeBron James. However, the superstar duo is at two very different points in their careers.
Doncic is still looking for his first Finals title, after reaching with the Dallas Mavericks and falling short to the Boston Celtics. James has four titles to his name and is entering what very well could be his last season in the league.
Even as the season continues to draw nearer, Jame remains sidelined by some nerve issues in his glute. However, in a statement that many fans will find shocking, James recently said on his podcast that he isn’t very pressed to return to the game at the moment.
“LeBron says with almost being 41, there’s no urgency to rush and be 100% to start the season, with his focus on being healthy and ready come playoff time,” reported Legion Hoops on Twitter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“See. This! This right here is why I need this dude of my team. No urgency, my guy, Did you watch the last playoff game yall were involved in and how the Wolves packed us like a can of sardines,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Imagine getting paid $50M and saying there’s no urgency to be ready to do your job when it starts,” someone else added.
“Good. Problem is our roster is so atrocious that if he doesn’t play right away we may not make the playoffs,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see when James can make his return to the game.
