The FC Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski is already 37 years of age, and although he has still been showing his qualities as a striker at the start of this season, there is no doubt that there are only a few more seasons for which he can continue playing at the highest level.

As a result, the Blaugrana club continues to be linked with other enticing center-forward options in the market, and one such name that has been linked with them in recent times is the FC Porto forward Samu Aghehowa.

In a recent report, the Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that Barcelona are already preparing an ambitious move for the Spanish striker, and are looking to make a bid of €60 million to get him from the Portuguese side.

However, his current release clause currently stands at €100 million, and one concern facing the Catalan side is whether Porto will be willing to part with Aghehowa for a sum significantly below his current release clause. Furthermore, interest from other top clubs can also make this move more complicated for Barcelona.

On the other hand, with 5 goals in 7 league appearances so far, there are very few doubts about the quality of a player who has also experience of playing in La Liga, and who can come with a price tag significantly lower than other targets that the Blaugranes have in mind, i.e., Erling Haaland or Julian Alvarez.
