Manchester City star’s agent speaking to other top clubs – Offering key player to others

Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva is in his final year of contract and his future beyond this season remains uncertain.

Last week, the Portugal international appeared conflicted when asked about a potential return to AS Monaco.

Over the past few weeks, the Italian media have covered Juventus interest in 31-year-old. AC Milan are also in the picture to sign him.

Calciomercato, after relaying his recent comments about his future, provide their take.

Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes is at work, actively monitoring the market to look for possible options next year.

The super-agent is said to have made contact with top Italian clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan, in recent weeks. Mendes has held talks with Juve general manager, Damien Comolli.

Calciomercato add Milan haven’t opened official negotiations to sign the Manchester City star. They’ve only made contact to find out whether the midfielder is open to a move.

It’s claimed the former Benfica man currently earns €10m net per year. Juve, Milan or any other Italian club won’t be able to match that. They add Silva has to make a ‘big effort’, meaning take a pay cut, if he wants a move to Serie A.

Benfica have also been credited with interest, which Calciomercato haven’t mentioned.
