2025 NFL Week 6: Hart’s Picks

The sixth week of the NFL regular season has arrived. My Week 5 picks were probably one of the worst performances I’ve had since doing this series for a few years now. I went 7-7 last week as quite a few upsets happened across the league. Through five weeks I’m sitting at 52-26 with predictions. This week, there will be fifteen games with the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings have their bye weeks.

Thursday Night Football — Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

Winner: Eagles

Both of these NFC East rivals lost last week and are hoping to get back into the win column. For as stagnant as the Eagles have look on offense to date, I feel confident they can head on the road and defeat Jaxson Dart and the Giants. I’m taking the Eagles in this Thursday Night Football matchup.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Denver Broncos and New York Jets (London)

Winner: Broncos

The Broncos got their signature win of the 2025 season by toppling the Eagles last Sunday. The Jets continue to struggle and are 0-5 on the year and have a penchant for turning the ball over. I think Denver’s aggressive defense will notch a few turnovers and capitalize them on their way to getting their fourth victory of the season.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens

Winner: Rams

Both these teams came out on the wrong side of their Week 5 matchups. It’s still a surprise to me that the Ravens have only won a single game this year, but they have been hampered by injuries. I’m not sure of Lamar Jackson’s availability for the game but will be taking the Rams regardless.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers

Winner: Cowboys

It’s a battle of two-win teams that each won last weekend. The Cowboys put a lot of points on the board but also give up a lot. Meanwhile, the Panthers offense is in the bottom half of the league. I guess this will be another matchup where I pick the road team to secure a win. I’m going with Dallas.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Arizona Cardinals at Indianapolis Colts

Winner: Colts

Talent-wise, I feel that both of these teams are fairly evenly matched. However, the Colts have been pretty good to start the season and have a Top 5 scoring offense and defense. I think they will be able to take care of business at home and defeat the Cardinals to notch their fifth win of the season.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Seattle Seahawks at Jacksonville Jaguars

Winner: Jaguars

The Seahawks lost to the Buccaneers last weekend in a thriller whilst the Jaguars were able to take down the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Jacksonville has become a much better team compared to last year and are now Top 10 in points scored and allowed. The Seahawks offense has done a good job scoring points, but I think Jaguars will stand strong at home and go to 5-1 on the season.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins

Winner: Chargers

After starting off the season 3-0, the Chargers have dropped their past two games and have lost both Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton due to injury. I’m worried about the team’s health relative to long-term success. However, I still feel confident they can take down the 1-4 Dolphins who rank near the bottom of almost every category of importance.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers

Winner: Steelers

This is a classic AFC North rivalry matchup. The Browns have just one win while the Steelers have four on the season. Upsets can happen, but I’m confident that Pittsburgh will come away victorious in this one.

Sunday Football (Early Game) — New England Patriots at New Orleans Saints

Winner: Patriots

Both the Patriots and Saints were able to come away with victories last weekend. New England’s performance against the Bills was quite impressive and makes me feel like they have something cooking in the northeast. While the Saints took down the Giants, I’m not sure they will have much luck against Drake Maye. I’ll take New England as another road victor this weekend.

Sunday Football (Late Game) — Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders

Winner: Raiders

The Titans and Raiders enter this matchup at the bottom of their respective divisions with 1-4 records. The Titans are coming off a big comeback victory over the Cardinals whilst the Raiders have dropped four in a row. Star tight end Brock Bowers may be sitting out for this game, which would hurt Las Vegas tremendously. I’m just going with my gut here and think the Raiders can win at home and put an end to their losing streak.

Sunday Football (Late Game) — San Francisco 49ers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Winner: Buccaneers

Kyle Shanahan is working miracles with the 49ers with a lineup that is seriously banged up on both sides of the ball. The Buccaneers, led by Baker Mayfield, continue to impress with their incredible offensive output. I think that continues this Sunday and Tampa Bay will be the team to achieve their fifth win of the year.

Sunday Football (Late Game) — Cincinatti Bengals at Green Bay Packers

Winner: Packers

The Bengals have acquired Joe Flacco, but I’m not sure that’s going to do much to save their season while Joe Burrow continues to recover from injury. I think this is a game where the Packers will control the pace by running the ball with Joshua Jacobs. I’ll be taking Green Bay at home.

Sunday Night Football — Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs

Winner: Lions

This should be a great game. I’m a bit concerned with how banged up the Lions secondary is, but their offense has been doing a great job being productive to start the season. It’s never easy coming away with a win at Arrowhead but believe Dan Campbell’s group of players will perform at a high level and get the job done. I’m taking the Lions here on the road.

Monday Night Football — Buffalo Bills at Atlanta Falcons

Winner: Bills

The Bills were upset by the Patriots and need to find a way to get back in the win column. I believe Josh Allen and company will find a way to regroup against the Falcons, even with Atlanta’s extra week of preparation over their bye. Another game, another road team I’m predicting to win. I’ve got Buffalo in this one.

Monday Night Football — Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders

Winner: Commanders

I’m excited to see how both Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels fair in this one. Both teams have pretty good rosters, but Dan Quinn’s Commanders are Top 10 in points scored and points allowed. They seem to be a bit more well-rounded than Chicago. With that in mind, I’ll take Washington at home to round out this week of predictions.
