Man Utd will have to repeat Leny Yoro move in order to sign 16-year-old'new Neymar'

The two-year mark of Manchester United’s football department being taken over by Ineos is fast approaching, and one notable improvement has been recruitment.

Gone are the days of mega-expensive, ill-planned, and disappointing signings, with Ineos’ transfer record getting better and better.

From 2025, already Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Senne Lammens, and Benjamin Sesko look like top-class signings for Manchester United.

However, Ineos’ most impressive signing of the past few years was absolutely stealing Leny Yoro from Real Madrid in 2024, after the Frenchman looked guaranteed to be bound for the Spanish capital.

During the last transfer window, United couldn’t repeat this feat, missing out on Franco Mastantuono, who had his heart set on the Santiago Bernabeu.

Now, United could be gearing up for another round against Los Blancos.

Manchester United will face an uphill battle to sign Gilberto Mora

It is no secret that Gilberto Mora is a player attracting interest from many elite clubs in Europe. This includes the Red Devils, as United in Focus revealed that United are in the mix to sign Mora, and have let his representatives know of this ambition.

Mora’s performances at the U20 World Cup have been nothing short of sensational, quickly becoming the standout performer despite being 16.

However, despite United’s interest, Real Madrid looks like they could be frontrunners already.

This is because, according to Ignacio Ruvalcaba, as quoted by Madrid Zone, a Tijuana academy coach, Mora has his eyes locked on Madrid.

“Gilberto Mora has a dream, which is to play for Real Madrid. He loves to watch Real Madrid; he sees himself playing there.”

So, in order to sign the wonderkid, United will have to repeat the move of convincing a talent to reject his dream at Madrid and instead move to M16.

Gilberto Mora could be the new Neymar for whoever signs him

Mora is an attacking midfielder by trade, with comparisons to Pedri or Andres Iniesta pretty common, considering his smooth dribbling and passing.

However, CIES has formed a prospect sheet on Mora, with the top similar player listed being Neymar.

Mora first and foremost excels in his take-ons, being incredibly skilful and evasive with the ball.

Goals and assists are also a massive part of his game, which makes it seem that Mora will be an attacker in his career, perhaps as a number 10.

This would see him fit into Amorim’s system perfectly if the deal came off.
