Danny Murphy responds when asked if Everton’s new stadium is as good as Anfield

Everton have left Goodison Park and have already played five competitive games at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton are yet to suffer defeat at the 52,000-seater stadium, having won three and drawn two, so they appear to have settled in really well.

Although David Moyes believes everyone is still adjusting to their new surroundings.

“What we want is to create is Goodison Park again, the noise and atmosphere,” the Scotsman explained. “And I think people are still getting used to it. It’s going to take us time.”

Oliver Glasner said Everton’s stadium made a huge difference to the result on the weekend, so clearly it has retained their intimidating feel for opposing teams.

Former Liverpool playmaker Danny Murphy has now given his verdict on the Hill Dickinson Stadium and how it compares to Anfield.

Unai Emery was impressed with the Hill Dickinson Stadium

Speaking after Everton’s goalless draw against Aston Villa last month, Unai Emery admitted he really enjoyed the Hill Dickinson Stadium

“We didn’t concede one goal,” Emery explained. “We conceded some chances but it’s normal and Everton are playing better and they are playing with confidence and here, exciting at the fantastic new stadium and the supporters and I enjoy a lot of the match.

“I enjoy a lot, competing, suffering but I enjoy it and that’s the way I want. It’s a fantastic stadium and of course they needed it.

“Goodison Park a very good stadium but old. It is a fantastic stadium and we like to play here. Villa Park old but a fantastic stadium as well and going to build there to add more supporters, another 10,000. I think, and it will be fantastic.”
