Yes, Rob Gronkowski finally figured out how to pronounce Emeka Egbuka after tanking the Bucs rookie’s name in a viral moment during a FOX studio show.
Gronk screwed up Egbuka’s last name and called him egg-BIG-boo. He was immediately called out and shamed, and later explained to the [_Up & Adams_](https://www.fanduel.com/kayadams) show that he was worn out from a long day and once played youth ball with a kid named “egg-BIG-boo.” So he thinks he just got momentarily confused.
Regardless, Gronk was clearheaded with Kay Adams yesterday and acknowledged that Baker Mayfield is a strong MVP candidate..
> “Baker Mayfield, what he has done for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he’s loved in that organization, but he also brings some sense of aura, some sense of juice to the table that elevates everyone else’s play,” Gronk said. “And I think that’s the No. 1 special trait that he has. Yes, he’s playing great ball, but when you can elevate people around you, that’s what makes you great. And that’s what he’s been doing. And that’s why these Buccaneers have been phenomenal.”
Gronk took the Mayfield appreciation a step further, noting it’s Mayfield who deserves a lot of credit for Egbuka’s big start.
