EALING Fields School won the NFL Flag Championship Europe at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this week.

The one-day flag football event involved U15 girls teams from across Europe.

Now in its second year, the tournament expanded to feature teams from six countries - the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, and, for the first time, Ireland.

It showcased the exceptional talent of young female athletes in the non-contact version of American football.

In the Championship Game, Ealing Fields faced off against Germany’s Erasmus-Grasser-Gymnaium to become champions by a score of 27-12.

The New York Jets, who play at the Spurs Stadium against the Denver Broncos this Sunday (12), have supported Ealing Fields, in Little Ealing Lane, for a number of years.

Flag football will be played at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 and is played by 20 million people in more than 100 countries.
