Al Horford Names 2 Big Reasons He Was Drawn To Warriors

Al Horford is now a member of the Golden State Warriors, but he has admired them for years.

He faced off against this team for many seasons and was impressed by how it worked, and now he’s excited to be a part of it.

Speaking to NBC Sports, Horford opened up about what the Warriors do right and why he wanted to join them.

“The two things that I saw [were] consistency—with this group, they’ve been great for so long—and then just the way that they play. You know, that ball movement…and how these guys are getting to their spots, their positions, and really trying to play team basketball. It’s something that I’ve always respected and enjoyed watching them,” Horford said. “It’s so difficult to defend, that type of style,” Horford said. “And that’s the one thing that really got my attention here.”

The Warriors have definitely been a very consistent team for over ten years.

Under the leadership of Steve Kerr, the team has found a strong identity with Steph Curry at the center of it all.

Horford has been able to witness this from afar, and now he is going to be a part of this special team.

Horford is a smart basketball player, and his set of skills will help Golden State, especially in the front court.

But he’s a talented three-point shooter and passer as well, so he will assist the Warriors in multiple ways and take some pressure off of Curry and others.

Horford looks like a great fit for the system that Kerr and the Warriors have created, and he’s happy to be there.
