This may be the end of the road for the current iteration of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The team has found plenty of success, but not enough, and there is a chance that they will look to shake things up later in the season.
According to Chris Mannix, other teams throughout the league are keeping an eye on Jarrett Allen because the Cavs might cut ties with him.
“Elsewhere, teams are monitoring how Cleveland starts the season. The Evan Mobley–Jarrett Allen tandem has been a smashing success and done a lot to protect the Cavs’ small-ish backcourt. Still, most believe Mobley’s long-term future is at center and Allen, a durable rim protector who shot a league-high 70.6% last season, could be available for the right mix of rotation players,” Mannix reported.

There is no doubt that the Cavaliers would generate a ton of interest if they became serious about losing Allen.
He’s one of the best and most consistent big men in the league.
As noted by Mannix, Allen led the league with his 70.6 field goal percentage last year.
He has produced 14.7 points and 10.1 rebounds since coming to the Cavaliers, easily earning his spot in the starting five.
Allen’s greatness is unquestionable, but Cleveland might still decide to let him go, because the team just hasn’t reached the level it wants.
That was painfully obvious again last year, when the Cavaliers earned the East’s best regular-season record but then fell apart in the playoffs.
Allen and his fellow stars are individually solid, but perhaps they just can’t get the job done together.
If the Cavaliers decide that’s the case, they will need to make some difficult decisions.
That means that Allen could be packing his bags, and a bunch of teams would be eager to try and sign him.
