Mike Brown Reveals Honest Thoughts About Mikal Bridges

Mikal Bridges is preparing to start his second season with the New York Knicks, and he wants to have an even bigger impact on the team.

According to head coach Mike Brown, Bridges has already been a huge help, and he has a ton of potential.

Brown feels that Bridges’ speed and shooting skills are what set him apart from everyone else.

“He could be if not the best runner in the NBA at least top 3…Not just full court run but half court cut…And a high level shooter…Defensively one of the best chasers I’ve been around…Even if cracked on PnR…his will to pursue…extremely impactful,” Brown said.

Bridges was a massive pickup for the Knicks last summer.

The team spent a lot to get him, depleting their assets in order to bring him to New York.

During his first season, Bridges put up 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 50.0 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the three-point line.

His three-point percentage dipped a bit from his year before with the Brooklyn Nets, and some fans were worried about his fit with the Knicks.

But Bridges warmed up as the season went on, and he was an important part of the team as they entered the playoffs.

Now, with a full summer off and training camp under his belt, Bridges might reach another level.

He obviously has the faith of his new head coach, so Brown is going to rely on Bridges a lot.

As mentioned, the team spent a lot to get him, and they want to receive their money’s worth in the new season.

Brown says that Bridges is extremely impactful, and he will need to show it in 2025-26.
