Allen Iverson is an NBA legend, and people still talk about how well he played the game, even years after his retirement.
Iverson knows that he has a lasting influence on the game, and he sees it in several current players.
Speaking with Stephen A. Smith, Iverson revealed who reminds him of himself the most.
Like others, he sees shades of himself in Russell Westbrook.
“Russ goes hard. Russ plays every game like it’s his last. The energy level is always the same. Everything is full effort,” Iverson said.

One of the biggest compliments regarding Westbrook has been about his energy levels and commitment to the game.
For better or worse, he pours 100 percent of himself into every possession, every shot, every game.
That can sometimes work against Westbrook, because he has been known to make some ill-advised plays and not slow down, look to others, and be more strategic.
Those bad habits have been more relevant recently, and it’s one of the reasons why he’s currently out of the league.
Westbrook wasn’t able to find a new NBA home during free agency, and this will be the first season in years that starts without him in a lineup.
That could change in the near future, and a team may pick up the phone and give him a call in the months ahead.
But for now, Westbrook’s energy and drive will be staying at home.
Iverson loves what he sees from Westbrook, and he admires the motor he has, but some fans are worried they won’t ever see it in the NBA again.
